| The town of Pátzcuaro sits along one of the largest lakes in Mexico. In the center of the lake is Isla Janitzio, its largest island. It is highly populated and the site of a popular Day of the Dead festival in early November. While we were visiting, a small local festival was in progress. A large brass band played while people danced in the square in front of the school. |
