Tunnel entrances can be seen surrounding many of the structures. These tunnels are not original. They were dug by archaeologists to gain access to inner structures. As new rulers came to power, it was common to build on top of older monuments to prior rulers that were often destroyed ceremoniously. However, found in one tunnel is a fully intact and painted temple named Rosalila by archaeologists.
