The annual Ilopanga International Airshow was happening during our stay and Juan provided us all with VIP tickets and transportation to the show. He also hosted a reception for the pilots and crews a few days before. The pilots put on quite a show at Barillas flying in between the moored boats, sometimes upside down, and performing hammerhead stalls and various other maneuvers often with smoke billowing from their screaming airplanes.
