We spent the summer season in Puerto Vallarta to wait out the Pacific Hurricane Season. Puerto Vallarta is considered a safe haven, however see our Ship's Log and photos of Hurricane Kenna that came through here in October. It seems that hurricanes don't read the guide books.

Along the malecon in downtown Puerto Vallarta are a number of interesting bronze statues. These photos were made prior to the hurricane. The statues survived, but all the shops and restaurants were either damaged or destroyed.
