Jeff's Mad Science Projects

Here's a few tools that I've found useful. Since I'm often offshore and a long way from the internet and telephones, I can't provide support for these. However, if you do have a problem or a suggestion, please contact me and I'll do my best to help when I can.

These tools were designed for Windows-2000 and Windows-XP. They may also run on Windows-98, Windows-ME and Windows-NT but I have no way to test that. They definitely won't run on Windows-95.

V1.0.3 03-May-2005 Download

A Google Desktop Search plug-in that indexes AirMail messages. To use this you must first install Google Desktop Search. Then install this plug-in and say "OK" when Google asks if you want to install it. Google Desktop Search is very simple to install and provides full searching of most types of files on your computer. This plug-in adds support for AirMail's message files and treats them just like any other e-mail message. Install Google Desktop Search Note that none of your private e-mails or any other files from your computer are sent to Google. Instead, the Google Desktop Search program scans all the files on your computer and builds an index which stays on your computer. Searches are performed against this index and are fast.

Google Desktop Search requires Windows XP or Windows 2000 SP 3+

Searches Airmail messages for the words you specify. Allows you to indicate which Airmail folders you wish to search and is also integrated with Airmail's address book. It will find and display all messages that contain the words you enter. It searches the message headers (from, to, cc, date) and the full message text. You can also reply to any messages you find and your replies will be placed into Airmail's outbox to be sent on your next connect.

Vista users: This version should work if you use Airmail V3.4 (or later).
